In November 2017, the N.O.M.E.S. Mongoose eradication team initiated the monitoring and maintenance of 4,200 kill traps for mongoose in the Jungle Warfare Training Center (JWTC) in Okinawa, Japan. This mongoose control project encompasses an area of over 3,500 hectares, and will take place over the next nine months.
