Job Description:
You will ensure that the workplace complies with safety regulations and that employees follow safe work practices. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, training employees on safety protocols, and investigating accidents. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
Requirements Condition of Employment:
- Must be able to work in Japan
- Bilingual (Japanese-English) is preferable
Role & Responsibilities:
- Review and manage site safety-related invoices, payments, and financial transactions, ensuring they are processed accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and maintain safety budget reports, tracking costs related to safety equipment, training, and compliance initiatives.
- Assist in the development and management of safety budgets, forecasting costs for site-specific safety programs, inspections, and hazard mitigation efforts.
- Reconcile safety-related accounts and resolve discrepancies through detailed analysis of expenses related to personal protective equipment (PPE), training, and safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and industry standards, maintaining financial integrity in the management of site health and safety operations.
Role:
- Safety Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive site safety and health plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Communication Skills: Maintain clear and proactive communication with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.
- Hazard Identification: Identify potential site hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend mitigation measures to prevent incidents.
- Educational Background: A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are preferred.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and contractors, to ensure safety standards are consistently upheld.

Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- OSHA certification (OSHA30 or higher)
- Proven experience as a safety officer
- Excellent knowledge of safety management systems
